The Story of Ronan |
Last Updated: December 08, 2004
Rescuer: Elizabeth Dukesherer-Faery Tails Corgi R at information@corgirescuestlouis.org
Ronan was picked up as a stray by an animal shelter and was not claimed by his owners. We contacted the shelter about him and he came into our rescue program.
Ronan has been examined by an animal opthalmologist and has been diagnosed with corneal edema in both eyes. Since we have no history on Ronan prior to rescue, we don’t know if he was born with the condition or aquired it. He is in no pain, has normal vision around the cloudy areas and limited vision through the cloudiness. There is no treatment for this condition. There is hope that the edema can resolve to some degree as normal cells migrate into the affected areas of his corneas but only time will tell if they eyes are going to improve.
CorgiAid supporters will help Ronan get as healthy and comfortable as possible, so he can sniff out his forever home.
Thank you!
