The Story of Martha

Last Updated: March 14, 2005

Martha is a very sweet, friendly, bossy corgi who was named for Martha Stewart since she was sprung from “jail” the same weekend. Now that she has established her position as alpha, she is friendly with my female corgi, and never bothered the males at all.
Martha was a stray brought in to the Fresno SPCA. She was limping when first seen; the SPCA vet did not find the problem. We took her to Dr. Richard Kahn who found a problem with her shoulder.
CorgiAid supporters have paid for Martha’s xrays. She has arthritis in that shoulder and, for now, will be treated with glucosamine to see if conservative treatment will help her feel more comfortable.
Thank you!
