The Story of Topher Grace

Last Updated: June 30, 2005

Rescuer: Anna Kessler Flowers at anna@brinet.com

Here is Topher Grace’s story, as told by her new mom:
“Topher Grace (then known only as “Corky”) was a rescued through the Palmetto Rescue Assn. of NC. Her elderly owner died and she was placed at the shelter in Kannapolis, NC – where she was scheduled to be euthanized. She had been diagnosed with a “dry-eye” condition and had been receiving treatment for it. I was contacted by Palmetto Rescue Assn. to adopt this dog. It happened very quickly due to her “status” at the shelter. Only after being evaluated by my vet, was the severity of her eye condition known.
“The vet has recommended removing the eye, so that the problem does not spread to the other eye or affect any other system.
“Topher Grace is a wonderful dog! She is vibrant, loving and a joy to have in our family. Her medical condition has not hindered her spirit, but we can tell there are times when it makes her uncomfortable. We want her to live a long, healthy and happy life. The medical care needs to be addressed soon so that her quality of life is not affected.”
CorgiAid supporters will help with Topher Grace’s surgery, so she can be comfortable and healthy and live a long time with her new loving family. Thank you!

This dog is not available for adoption.
