Opal

Here is Opal’s story, in the words of her rescuer:
“Opal came to me filthy (but smelling of that nasty doggy perfume some kennels use to mask kennel stank). Her ears were crusted with black ick, and she had tapeworms which she gladly shed throughout the house. She was not spayed, and sported a mammary tumor and gingivitis. She has since been spayed, had the tumor removed (keep fingers crossed for good results!), had her teeth cleaned, been dewormed, and given a good bath (which she tolerated like a champ). My vet informs me that her uterus has been quite “well used” :(.
“Opal is the sweetest little thing with big, dark eyes and lovely girly lashes. She has proven, miraculously, to be housebroken (the girls were only allowed in the house to whelp). She will, with time and patience, make someone a wonderful, loyal (she is velcro dog extraordinaire) companion. It is my goal to make sure that she gets, safely, to that point.”
