The Story of Harley

Last Updated: October 12, 2008

Here is Harley’s story, in the words of his rescuer: “I received a call from a rural area of MO from a woman who told me that her ex-boyfriend dumped his dog with her. She kept the dog a couple of months but her husband didn’t like him and kept him on the back porch in a crate almost 24/7. My foster family picked him up the next day. Harley was covered head to toe in open oozing sores, fleas, and feces. In spite of that, he gave my friends kisses and jumped into their car. It has been heaven for him since then. The next day he went to the vet in their area. He was diagnosed with flea allergy, worms, Demodex, and was cryptorchid. We have battled his Demodex for several months, including a holistic diet and immune support supplements. He also had several vertebra out in his back. We are assuming this was from being in a crate for weeks and weeks.”
CorgiAid supporters will help Harley get healthy so he can become a beloved pet. Thank you!
