The Story of Ellen

Last Updated: July 06, 2010

Rescuer: Angela Laudermilk at howellingcorgi@aol.com

Here is Ellen’s story, in the words of her rescuer:
“Ellen was taken along with 2 other corgis from the shelter. When we took in Ellen, Oprah and Sarah Pallin we didn’t realize how sick Sarah was, She had parvo. We decided with her other medical issues that we couldn’t help her (she was emaciated and full of worms also). Within 1 week of Sarah’s euthanasia, Ellen also broke with parvo and had to be hospitalized. We treated her for parvo in March, and last week she got sick again. The vet at first thought it was another case of parvo, lthough he felt it would be unlikely. He did a parvo test and it came back negative. We still had to put her on IV fluids over night and give her treatment for the next week before she was well again.
“This dog is one of the most sweet and loving corgis that we have ever taken in and I don’t think that she would ever behave in an aggressive manner.”
CorgiAid supporters will help with the expense of getting Ellen healthy, so she can go forward and lead the happy life she deserves. Thank you!

This dog is available for adoption. Please contact Angela Laudermilk at howellingcorgi@aol.com for more information.
