The Story of Ella

Last Updated: April 02, 2011

Here is Ella’s story, in the words of her rescuer:
“Ella is doing very well now. Her foster home takes only mill dogs. They have a special talent for bringing mill dogs out of their shells. Their own three Corgis are great teachers. Ella is loosing weight, has learned to walk on lead, and she is now playing with toys! A real milestone in her development. She is now house trained but crate training may not be in her future. She is terrified of going into a crate. Who can blame her? She is still a bit head shy, but considering where she came from, she is progressing in leaps and bounds.
“Ella came to us intact of course. Her teeth were simply rotting out of her head. When the vet examined Ella initially, he touched one of her teeth and the tooth fell out. On exam he also found a mammary tumor. There was also a wound on her head which our vet believes was from a dog bite.”
CorgiAid supporters have helped Ella get a nice clean mouth, have her tumor removed, and generally get shined up on her health care, so she can go forward and lead the happy life she deserves. Thank you!
Ella was rescued in Missouri.
