The Story of Jackson |

Here is Jackson’s story, in the words of his rescuer:
“Jackson was surrendered because he had a partially torn ACL due to his huge weight when originally surrendered. The county was going to put him down when we intervened. He was placed in foster with me to loose more weight before he had the surgery. We got off about 7 more pounds. An orthopedic surgeon came in to do the surgery, and both that surgeon and the veterinarian’s office gave the rescue a discount on their services. It has been very successful. He is now walking on it soundly, has lost even more weight (the goal is around 38 lbs), and is doing water therapy to help build it up even more. He is going to enroll in obedience classes with his new mom very soon. She hopes to eventually to be able to do upper level obedience with him.
“He is the sweetest dog I have ever met. He has never been aggressive to any other dog, child, or cat (he’s been tested on all).”
CorgiAid supporters will help with the cost of repairing Jackson’s ACL. Thank you!
Jackson was rescued in Colorado.
