Every so often, a very newly-adopted dog turns out to have a health issue, like a dirty mouth, that clearly existed when the dog was adopted. CorgiAid may be able to help in this situation.
Here is Mitzi’s story, in the words of her adopter:
“Mitzi needs dental care real soon. Hopefully the vet will not need to extract any of her teeth and dental scaling and antibiotics will take care of the problem. Some of her teeth have excessive tarter build up and she may have periodontal disease, gingivitis or some type of infection. Her gums are swollen and red.
“She was seen by a vet while in her foster home. She is heart worm negative, spayed, current on all of her shots and on Trifexis. She does need her toe nails trimmed frequently because the owner that she was rescued from allowed her nails to grow too long and they curled really bad. Mitzi’s foster mom advised that the vet had to cut & solder them to prevent bleeding. Mitzi was rescued from a puppy mill and I will make sure that she remains healthy and loved (spoiled). I finally have my two girls and I couldn’t be more happier that Mitzi is one of them :)”
