Here is Star’s story, in the words of her rescuer:
“Star was on the euthanasia list at our County Pound and we were alerted to her and went and pulled her out of there, to see what we could do for her. She was overweight and had the worst breath ever. From there, she had pneumonia, then full body abscesses, a reaction to the medications for pneumonia. Her whole immune system was so low, everything done added more issues.
“Star is our ‘Grandma Dog.’ As she overcomes one issue after another, she keeps her great temperament and happy, loving self. She has ‘adopted’ a Westie pup as hers, cleaning him, playing with him, making sure all is right in his world, even when she doesn’t feel well herself. As she is losing weight and the longer she’s in our ‘pack,’ she comes more and more ‘out’ running and playing, barking a quiet grumble bark for attention.”
CorgiAid supporters are helping Star beat one issue after another, as this very good girl works to get healthy, so she can lead the happy retirement she deserves. Thank you!
Star was rescued in Arizona.
