Here is Carrie’s story, in the words of her rescuer:
“Carrie came to Secondhand Hounds from Tennessee back in November of 2013. She was taken in by a kind man whose neighbor had too many dogs and they all lived outside in small fenced areas. Soon after committing to Carrie’s rescue we found out she was pregnant. She gave birth to 6 puppies who were all adopted. At her spay it was discovered that she was HW+ and has degenerative disc disease which is not operable. The surgeon stated that she would do best with joint supplements to help the arthritic-like symptoms of this diagnosis and she is doing very well on those and just had her last HW treatment today! She will be ready to start searching for her new forever home now 🙂
“Carrie is a very mellow, happy girl with the wiggliest but you’ve ever seen! She is a short little girl who appears to be a cross between a Corgi and a Lancashire Heeler. She would love a family that is home often as she has some separation anxiety. A family with some kids (loves them!) and at least one other mellow dog for companionship would be her ideal situation!”
CorgiAid supporters have helped Carrie with the expense of bringing her up to speed on her health care, so she can wag that tail right into the happy future she deserves. Thank you!
Carrie’s rescuers are in Minnesota.
