The Story of Haleigh |

Here is Haleigh’s story, in the words of her rescuer:
“Haleigh is an owner surrender. Owner is undergoing chemo for lung cancer (2nd time) and is no longer able to care for Haleigh. Haleigh was urinating in the house frequently, so her neighbors took her to the vet and they found bladder stones. Owner was ready to euthanize Haleigh, but the neighbors stepped in and contacted us. We spoke with the owner and told her we would care for Haleigh and find her a new home. She finally agreed and here Haleigh is.
“Very sweet temperment. Enjoys other dogs, is a love bug, very happy girl.
“Haleigh is lucky we were able to remove the stones as soon as she came to us. From the damage to the bladder, thickened bladder walls and stones adhered to the bladder wall, she had been suffering for quite some time. She was ‘lucky’ as one stone was stuck so tightly in the ‘y’ leading to the ureters, that any urine could pass at all. She is doing great now, and when she urinates, the ‘relief’ on her face is a great sight.”
CorgiAid supporters have helped with the expense of Haleigh’s surgery. Thank you! With your help, Haleigh got well, and has moved into a new and happy life, with loving humans and a canine sister.
