The Story of Doolie

Last Updated: May 23, 2015

Rescuer: Janet Cook at adopt@angelsheartdogrescue.com

Here is Doolie’s story, in the words of his rescuer.
“Doolie was rescued by my rescue organization; i.e., Angel’s Heart Dog Rescue. Doolie has a “degloving wound” on his back right foot. The entire skin of the dog’s foot is torn away due to an unknown reason. He was impounded at the Animal Friends of the Valleys Shelter in like manner. He was an over-the counter-stray, turned in as a wounded dog to the shelter.
“He’s such a great dog. He has a slight separation issue. But it’s manageable. He is a very sweet, loving, quiet, people-social and dog-social dog and I believe he’ll find a great home at some point. I consider him to be highly adoptable. But that wound was going to get him euthanized for sure as no rescue wanted him and he had no chance of being adopted to the general public with that injury.”
CorgiAid supporters are making sure Doolie gets the care he needs, to help his poor foot recover. Thank you!
His rescuer reports he is doing well, but needs continuing laser treatment over many weeks. Thank you for making that possible!
Doolie was rescued in California.

This dog is not available for adoption.
