The Story of Ocototillo

Last Updated: December 30, 2015

Here is Ocotillo’s story, in the words of her rescuer:
“Ocotillo came to us from a hoarding situation….there were approx. 40 Cattledogs and Ocotillo. When they put her in the truck to take to the shelter, she was alone; when they opened the door at the shelter, she had company…4 of her soon to be 9 pups. Seven survived…she was only 18 lbs at the time, too thin…. She had been penned with a Cattledog whom they believe is the sire, and there were a couple older pups, Corgi/Cattledog, that are believed to have been from her previous litter….of which we have one also. The shelter contacted me immediately and of course we said YES!! So immediate transport was put into action and within 4 hours we had Ocotillo and her 7 under 24-hour old pups in our care. Oh what a ride it’s been. :)”

CorgiAid supporters have helped Ocotillo and her family with the care needed to raise seven baybeez. Thank you!

Ocotillo was rescued in Arizona.
