Here is Shortie’s story, in the words of his rescuer:
“This handsome little man was banished to the backyard and going to be surrendered to a west central Texas shelter because, at just over a year old, he was too active for the owners. The shelter asked the owners to reconsider or to contact a rescue. Luckily, an area rescue friend was standing by ready to take him in when the owners surrendered the dog. He needed to be neutered and brushed up on basic veterinary care.”
