The Story of Victor

Last Updated: September 29, 2015

Rescuer: Gail Hefley at jandg3216@gmail.com

Here is Victor’s story, in the words of his rescuer:
“Victor’s family was busy…another child on the way, etc. So, Victor needed a new home. His owner contacted us about what rescue would mean for Victor. Victor’s family did want the best for him, and ultimately chose rescue as doing the best they could with Victor.
“Unfortunately, Victor’s mouth had been neglected and he was in serious need of a dental with exposed roots. He lost nine teeth and is a poster corgi for proper doggy dental care. His nails were also neglected and were very long causing his feet and toes to splay. He also has some hip dysplasia, but otherwise seems healthy.
“He is not used to being picked up and squirms around. We couldn’t do his nails without him throwing a major fit, which just didn’t seem to be worth putting him through the struggle especially since he was going to be sedated for his teeth anyway.
“He’s a very nice boy that will make someone a wonderful companion. Though we think he may need to be sedated to do his nails.”
CorgiAid supporters are helping Victor get the care he needs, to get ready for the next happy chapter of his life. Thank you!
Victor was rescued in Texas.

This dog is available for adoption. Please contact Gail Hefley at jandg3216@gmail.com for more information.
