Here is Zoe’s story, in the words of her rescuer.
As much as we all wish that every rescue story could have a happy ending, sadly that is not reality.
Tissue alert.
“Just before the Thanksgiving holiday we received word that a corgi and her best friend had been dropped off at the Spartanburg SC Shelter. Their owner had died, and the family decided that they did not want the dogs. When we went to pick Katie up we realized that we couldn’t leave her best friend … a little pom-corgi mix named Zoe. A wonderful foster took Zoe in and gave her love. Zoe was noted to have difficulty breathing. Zoe was taken urgently to the vet, and was found to have pneumonia and other issues. Sadly, despite hospitalization and treatment, she did not make it through the night. We had her cremated and will scatter her ashes at Katie’s new home.”
CorgiAid supporters helped make it possible for Zoe to have every chance at a happy future. Thank you. Sadly, her little body just had too many burdens.
This dog is not available for adoption.
