Here is Lucas’ story, in the words of his rescuer:
“Lucas was pulled from death row at Fort Worth Animal Control. He was listed as ‘Urgent.’
“Lucas has obviously had a very hard life, he is full of heartworms, his eyes have ulcers/severe corneal scratches, he had been attacked by dogs and seriously injured prior to being picked up by Animal Control. He needs heartworm treatment, he also needs to see a veterinary opthamologist.”
Lucas needed emergency surgery for his eyes. CorgiAid supporters helped him get the surgery he needed to be comfortable, and to have the best chance of preserving his vision. Thank you!
Lucas was rescued in Texas.
