The Story of Rosie |
Last Updated: September 15, 2016
Rescuer: Arleen Rooney at corgially@att.net
Here is Rosie’s story, in the words of her rescuer:
“This 9 year old spayed female came into the shelter as a stray, covered in foxtails and poor condition. She was available for me to rescue on 7/31. Her haircoat was dry, dirty and flakey. The shelter vet and staff had taken the foxtails off of her.
“Rosie is extremely loving and friendly and good with other dogs. Very mellow.
“She has a mammary tumor mass mid section even though she was spayed. It looks like sometime in the past she has had a litter or more. Her teeth were in deplorable condition and a dental cleaning with extractions was done the same day along with other x-rays, bloodwork.”
CorgiAid supporters have helped Rosie get a clean and healthy mouth, and to get her tumor removed. Thank you!
Unfortunately more evidence of tumors was found in her lungs. It is likely that Rosie will spend her remaining time being pampered in foster care.
Rosie was rescued in California.
This dog is not available for adoption.
