The Story of Tank |
Last Updated: December 23, 2016
Here is Tank’s story, in the words of his rescuer:
“Tank’s owner has terminal cancer and her health has deteriorated to the point where she can no longer care for him. She hasn’t been able to for quite some time. He has been boarded at the vet clinic for awhile. She reached out to rescue and we agreed to spring him and take him in. It was at the vet clinic we learned Tank is morbidly obese, and in heart failure due to heartworm. He’s still a fairly happy guy and his foster mom has agreed to put him on a diet, give him moderate exercise and a monthly heartgard to help prevent further heartworm (slow kill). The vet is adamant that he will not survive traditional heartworm treatment.”
CorgiAid supporters are helping Tank as he works to get better. Losing weight has got to help, and lightening his heartworm load has got to help, too. Thank you for supporting Tank as he fights these battles!
