The Story of Bogey

Last Updated: October 15, 2017

Rescuer: Gail Hefley at jandg3216@gmail.com

Here is Bogey’s story, in the words of his rescuer:

“Bogey (as in Humphrey Bogart) and Bacall (yes, Lauren Bacall) were found in the road in front of a farm house in rural west central Texas. The dogs had not been seen around this house before. It was odd that a pickup was spotted driving down the road, parked for a couple of minutes, and then drove off. Shortly after that the dogs were found wandering down the road. We think it was pretty clear what happened to Bogey and Bacall. It took several people coordinating schedules, but we were able to get them safely into rescue. They are both heart worm positive along with other health issues that need tending to.

“They love people, but do not like other dogs. They were dumped with a Labrador. I don’t know if they’ve been around other dogs at all.”

Bogey is an older guy, who has clearly been to the school of hard knocks. He’s got intermittent joint pain, believed to be from old injuries. CorgiAid supporters have helped Bogey get rid of those nasty heartworms, and get a clean and healthy mouth. He feels better, and is looking forward to the happy retirement he deserves. Thank you!

Bogey was rescued in Texas.

This dog is available for adoption. Please contact Gail Hefley at jandg3216@gmail.com for more information.
