Here is Bitsy’s story, in the words of her rescuer:

“Bitsy was surrendered at the San Pedro Harbor Animal Shelter, San Pedro, CA on 7/4. I rescued her the next day on 7/5. She was surrendered because the owner who had her since she was a pup had lost his job and home and moved in with family. They relegated this housebroken dog to the backyard at first where she definitely summer skin allergies and was shaved down. Then they told the owner she must go immediately.”
