The Story of Joey

Last Updated: May 25, 2018

As much as we all hope that every rescue story can have a happy ending, reality is not that kind or gentle.
Tissue alert!

Here is Joey’s story, in the words of his rescuer:

“Little Joey was abandoned at the shelter by his owners. He was so sweet and the shelter appealed to us to take him. Mostly blind and deaf and weak in the back end, terrible skin condition and rotting teeth, we agreed to do what we could. Test results showed Cushings, which together with signs of dementia and several seizures while in the care of our vet, we decided the most humane thing we could do was escort him to the Bridge.”

CorgiAid supporters have helped with Joey’s final expenses. Thank you.
