The Story of Bert (formerly Copper) |
Last Updated: July 28, 2020
The foster was contacted by a friend who works with a rescue organization about a Corgi/terrier mix who was in need of fostering. They currently own a Corgi and agreed to take this one in as well. Upon receiving him they noticed that he had a coughing issue. When the vet history was received, it was clear that the coughing had been a problem that he had prior to arriving in foster. The Corgi/terrier, now called Bert, was taken to the vet and it was determined that he had major issues with his teeth. The vet also determined that his coughing was not due to heart issues or tracheal collapse and Bert was prescribed medicine to help alleviate his coughing. They said his throat was very irritated and that may cause the coughing issues and also highly recommended that he have his dental issues addressed. Bert was such a great representative of how sweet and smart Corgis/mixes are, he has become a foster fail and is now a permanent member of the foster’s family.
