Jasper is a Corgi mix branded as an “American Corgi”. He was surrendered to rescue by his owners, as they felt he wasn’t happy with their home and he kept wandering off. He was afraid of them, their children would corner and harass him, and he would not come to people for attention. He lived for six years outside with no vet care or protective care other than his initial puppy vaccinations. Thankfully, when the rescue brought him in for a physical exam he tested negative for heartworm. Jasper had a full physical exam, tests and received flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention and was microchipped. Jasper is going to need a good deal of time, patience and work in order to trust people, and walk on a leash. He is very sweet and wants to be loved and part of what’s going on. He is in a good foster home where he can learn from the other dogs there and be part of a family.
This dog is available for adoption. Please contact Gail Hefley at jandg3216@gmail.com for more information.
