The Story of Maple

Last update 07/21/2023
Maple was found running loose in a rural area. The finders spent a month looking for her owners, but none were to be found. Rescue was contacted and told that they couldn’t keep her any longer as she and another female in the home were not getting along. Maple was limping on arrival and still does. After examination and x-rays they found she has a bone chip on her shoulder – she may have been bumped or hit by a car at some point. Surgery is not necessary, but she has arthritis, so she is on a supplement for her joints and NSAIDS for her pain. Maple had all the basic tests, vaccines and maintenance care she needed.
