The Story of Skinny Willy |
Last update 09/25/2023
Corgi rescue received a Facebook notification that there was a little corgi mix at the pound that was likely to be put to sleep because he couldn’t see well, couldn’t hear well, and had blood in his eyes. Skinny Willy looked to be a Corgi/Chihuahua mix.
Willy was diagnosed with anaplasmosis and cataracts. He had numerous tests, neutered, the usual preventative treatments as well as dental work. He is very anxious, likely due to the vision loss from the cataracts. He probably only sees shadows and movement. He will likely require an anti-anxiety medication going forward to ensure quality of life. Skinny Willy qualified for Eldercare from CorgiAid.
