The Story of Mosbie |
Last update 09/02/2024
Rescue was contacted by a shelter, asking they we would consider pulling a recently surrendered Corgi. The owners stated he was 15, and he was left to be euthanized. The rescue was told the dog was friendly, very mobile, a bit hard of hearing, but also had a large growth on his neck that was infected and bleeding. Mosby was picked up by one of the volunteers that day and was taken to a vet for assessment. He appeared to be a Corgi-mix. He had a wellness blood panel, fecal test, and was prescribed an antibiotic for the infection, a heartworm flea/tick preventative, and trazodone for restlessness. It was also determined that overall, he was in pretty good shape, but his teeth were noted to be ‘horrible’, and it was felt the mass on the neck was a benign sebaceous type growth. Mosby had the growth removed, a dental cleaning and extraction and is doing well in his foster home with his new “foster brother”.
