The Story of Archer

Last update 07/05/2026

Archer was too active for his young family who was expecting their second child soon. He played with their 1-year-old child, but was nervous and jumping, He had no boundaries set by owners, so they decided to surrender him. He came to rescue unable to jump much, and he slipped when walking. Being from a pet store, it is not surprising. X-rays were taken and it was determined he is dysplastic. It is hopeful that with supplements and physical therapy, he won’t require more invasive treatment. He received preventative treatments; flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention, microchipping, routine dental care, spay/neuter, and vaccinations, tests: blood work, fecal testing, heartworm test, X-rays, Valley Fever and Tick Fever tests. He should be able to live a relatively active life with a family.
