The Story of Polo

Last update 03/21/2026

Polo was surrendered to a shelter for suspected IVDD. Corgi rescue pulled him out and got him into foster care. He had a Neurology consult, an MRI was recommended to find out the extent of his IVDD to determine next steps. Polo is a very sweet and playful Corgi despite his condition. While he is still mobile, his hind legs give out and his paws knuckle, but he can self correct. He is on activity restriction alternating between an x-pen and crate rest. He is walked with the assistance of a harness. Polo is only a year old and we want to do everything we can to give him a chance at a normal life.
