The Story of Winston

Last update 03/21/2026

Winston was brought to the ER after eating an Iguana. His owner wanted immediate euthanasia. The ER staff contacted Corgi rescue to see if the rescue could take him into their care. They accepted and after Winston was examined, it was determined that he had multiple hind leg fractures and needed a diaphragmatic hernia surgery to save his life. He had the surgery and was neutered at the same time. Winston also required vaccines as his former owner did not keep them up-to-date.
