Benny was special in so many ways! As a working pet therapy dog at Kaiser Santa Clara Medical Center (with his own photo ID badge and business card), he was loved by all. Patients in the hospital would always look forward to seeing their “Benny” when on rounds with his mom, Carolyn. Staff also shared in the excitement of seeing and spending time with Benny.
He brought big smiles to all, and his visits certainly were the highlight of their day. In fact, Benny recently received his AKC THDX title (Therapy Dog Excellent by American Kennel Club for over 200 visits). Around the neighborhood, Benny was known for his strong spirit and enjoyed spending time with his many friends.
Benny is deeply missed by his loving mom Carolyn, brother Toby, and girlfriend Ginger, who are all devastated by his passing. He will be remembered for the deep and lasting impressions he left on everyone who met and loved him.
