In loving memory of Karen Wagner and Ivy
Karen was a loving wife of 29 years to husband, Ron Leamon, a devoted mother to daughter, Anna, and a dear friend to countless students, staff, and faculty at the University of Washington Business School with her quick wit and beautiful smile. Karen was an incredibly creative artist, not only as a beader and jeweler designer, but also with her unique sense of style. She constantly kept her hands busy with intricate doodling, knitting, crocheting, or beading, while keenly listening to your every word and voicing her opinion. She was an avid reader and book collector–1/2 Price Book outings were her and Ron’s favorite, with a sharp mind and a desire to pursue lifelong learning. Karen was truly caring, thoughtful, and sensitive, most evidenced by her love of animals and especially her fondness towards corgis.
Ivy was a faithful, loyal companion and friend to Karen, Ron, and Anna and she died at 14 1/2 years just days before Karen. She loved belly rubs and her daily walks–over the years collecting adoring fans in her neighborhood. As with all corgis, she lived for treats, but she was genuinely most content and happy in the presence of her family.
Karen and Ivy are greatly missed.
