The Story of Copper Penny

Krista adopted Penny and flew her from Chattanooga, TN to her home in Washington. Once she was taken to the vet for her check up and shots, it was discoveered that she was HW+. Since she had HW while she was at the shelter, Penny came under CorgiAid’s guidelines and we were able to help Krista pay for Penny’s treatments.
It can be overwhelming for a new owner to discover that their corgi is sick. While Krista has paid for Penny’s dental work, shots, spay and vet visits, CorgiAid is pleased to help with Copper Penny’s HW treatment.
So many of the dogs that come into rescue are heartworm positive, and HW is PREVENTABLE! For less than $10 a month you can spare your dog the risk of this very dangerous and often fatal disease.
