The Story of Peanut |
Last Updated: April 10, 2006
Rescuer: Marty Stewart at russlur@yahoo.com
Peanut was pulled out of Baldwin shelter. She was starving to death and had pneumonia. The shelter chose to spay her anyway and made the pneumonia worse. We had to put her on an I.V. for 3 days as white blood cell count was over 6000. She was diagnosed with megaesophagus which is a paralyzing of the esophagus. No one thought she would live but so far she has.
Her rescuer describes her as “Incredibly sweet, with a strong will to live. Everyone is amazed she has survived. She can live but must always be fed at angle and after eating be held for 15 minutes so that the food stays in her stomach.”
CorgiAid supporters are helping Peanut get as healthy as she can be, so she can look for the very special home she will need.
Thank you!
