The Story of Solomon

Last Updated: October 11, 2011

Here is Solomon’s story, in the words of his rescuer. Please have your tissues handy.
“Solomon, a lovely 10 year old fluffy boy, was dumped at the shelter by his owners. The shelter staff fell in love with him, and could not bring themselves to euthanize in spite of his horrible condition and age. He spent 4 days at the shelter and refused to eat, that’s when they sent a plea out to rescue. We picked him up and immediately understood why the staff loved him. He was really sweet and craved affection but still refused food or water. He had many missing and broken teeth, and we hoped this was the reason for his refusal to eat. We headed immediately to the vet where a series of tests were run. Poor Solomon’s insides were riddled with cancer from his lungs to his bladder. We made the right decision to send hm peacefully to the Bridge. My husband held and rocked him until he took his last breath.”
CorgiAid supporters have helped with the expense of lovingly helping Solomon not struggle any longer. Thank you.
