Here is Lillie’s story, in the words of her rescuer:
“Lillie came from a breeding facility that was closing down due to health issues with one of the owners. She, several other corgis and numerous other dogs of varying breeds, was surrendered to a vet clinic that also does limited rescue work. She arrived in Corgi Connection with her eye missing; part of her ear missing and a broken maxilla. Other than that, she is fine! 😉 We were very concerned she would test positive for heart worms but she did not. After a couple of baths her coat has begun to shine.
“She can be a little snippy with her food towards other dogs but I don’t believe it to be serious.
“Given her history; she is just a doll. Loves to cuddle with people but like any little female corgi can be a bit bossy
“Lillie needed to by spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested and have her teeth cleaned. In the process it was discovered she needed several teeth removed as she had infection.
“Two veterinarians have looked at Lillie’s broken maxilla and neither recommended surgery as it’s not causing her pain; she eats and drinks fine and any surgery would be very extensive.”
CorgiAid supporters will help Lillie with the expense of her dental, and everything else she needed, to get her caught up on her health care, so she can go forward and learn to be a beloved pet. Thank you!
