Here is Lucky’s story, in the words of his rescuer:
“Lucky was part of a group of 24 dogs that were surrendered by an elderly woman in Iowa to a town with no physical Animal Control building. He has lived his entire life outside in a pen. Secondhand Hounds took him in. When Lucky was brought in to be neutered and have his teeth cleaned, it was discovered that he was positive for heartworm. He is currently being treated, and will remain with his foster through treatment until he is healthy again.
“Despite Lucky’s lack of a social life until now, he is one good-natured people-loving guy. He loves nothing more than to get his daily pets! This guy is taking his treatment and his resulting crate confinement like a champ! Soon enough he’ll get to frolic with the rest of the resident corgis, but for now he enjoys his quiet time with the foster’s mellow resident rescue corgi mix Calvin.”
CorgiAid supporters will help Lucky get rid of those nasty heartworms, and get shined up on his health care, so he can lead the happy life he deserves. Thank you!
Lucky’s rescuer is in Minnesota.
