Here is Bear’s story, in the words of his rescuer:
“Little Bear is an owner surrender. The kids are grown and moved and way and owners now want to travel and see the world. He’s a little chunky monkey and needs to take a little weight off. Little Bear arrived already neutered, has been kept on HW prevention, already vaccinated, had a microchip and it seemed just a tiny limp we thought possibly from the hot spot on his rear leg. He also had a hot spot on his front leg but it didn’t concern us too much. After several days the hot spots got worse and so did his limp. Turns out his front leg limp is from the hot spot which is now severely infected into the tissues. The back leg limp is a torn ACL.”
Little Bear was sicker than he first appeared. As of 8/22/13, it’s not clear what’s wrong. He’s had a tick panel done, and results are awaited.
CorgiAid supporters are helping Bear get the care he needs for the best shot at good health and a happy life. Thank you!
Bear was rescued in Oklahoma.
