The Story of Gideon

Last Updated: September 25, 2014

Here is Gideon’s story, in the words of his rescuer:
“Gideon has had a tough time since a little puppy. The farmer who had him kept him outside and gave no vaccines or flea/tick preventative. He is now in very good care in an experienced foster home. He then had another UTI. We treated. Then be became very ill with pain, no bowel movements, would not eat or drink. We took him to the Animal ER yesterday, and today to the specialist.
“The veterinary specialist cannot do a culture – bacteria or fungal – due to Gideon being on antibiotics. We will do one as soon as possible and certainly hope his infections are not fungal. The discospondylitis is the result of infections. The specialist believes that due to where Gideon came from, fungal is a possibility. Tough to treat and nasty meds to boot.
“9/11/14: Gideon is FINALLY well. He has no UTI and he has been neutered. He is ready for his new home at last. Throughout all of his medical issues he has remained a sweet and loving boy.”
CorgiAid supporters helped Gideon fight all of his issues, so he could get healthy and move on to a happy future. Thank you!
