The Story of Maggie

Last Updated: October 26, 2015

Rescuer: Patricia Bowden at hobbyshopr@aol.com

As fervently as we all wish every rescue story could have a happy ending, unfortunately reality is not that gentle or kind.
Tissue alert!

Here is Maggie’s story, in the words of her rescuer:
“Maggie has been tossed around aprox 5 or 6 times. She was currently found living outside 24/7 with no apparent water supply or shelter. Flea ridden and very low wight. I could feel her backbone and ribs. Appears to have hip issue
“Very sweet senior Corgi, appears to have hearing loss, possible hip problen and dymensia. Very sweet — gets along with other dogs, cats, and even rabbits.”
Maggie was taken to the vet with high hopes that her issues could be addressed, and that she could live a happy retirement.
Sadly, that was not to be. Ultrasound revealed that she was riddled with cancer, and the tearful decision was made to let her go, so she would not continue to suffer.
CorgiAid supporters helped with Maggie’s medical care, including her final expenses. Thank you.

This dog is not available for adoption.
