The Story of Yoda |
Last Updated: December 02, 2016
We all wish that every rescue story could end happily. Unfortunately, that’s not always the case.
Tissue alert…………..
“When Yoda came to us he was very healthy. He was to be adopted on Nov 19th. We had to wait until his new dad came home from a business trip. Unfortunately, in the wait period, he developed what was at first thought to be a UTI. We treated him for 10 days, with no results. We took him back in and a Water Deprivation test was done. He was diagnosed with Diabetes insipidus. We started treatment on him for this, but he quit eating after 3 days, we went back in with an extremely lethargic Yoda and his blood work indicated Hyper-parathyroidism with his calcium count over 16. After speaking with the vet about options, we determined that the surgery for this was cost prohibitive. We chose to give him a home with Jesus, so that he would not continue to suffer.”
CorgiAid supporters have helped with Yoda’s final expenses. Thank you.
