Sadly, not all stories have happy endings. Drew was found on the streets in Texas when the record cold temperatures were beginning. He was taken in by rescue and evaluated by a vet. Drew had many physical and emotional issues, and while some dogs make good “permanent foster dogs” Drew’s issues would have just meant prolonging a decision to let him go as he had no quality of life. He lived his last days in warmth and care.
