The Story of Sandy

Last update 11/30/2023
Sandy came into rescue with her daughter Ella. Her owner could no longer care for her due to her husband’s recent stroke and the level of care she needed to give her.

She had bloodwork, an ultrasound, a heartworm test and received her vaccinations, the usual preventative treatments and was spayed. She was found to have two inguinal hernias, which while she has had them for some time, do not seem to be bothering her.

Sandy is very sweet even though she wasn’t treated very well in her previous home. She and her daughter were confined to an outdoor kennel where they didn’t get much human interaction. Thankfully, since she’s been with her foster mom, her personality has begun to show that she loves people and other dogs.
