The Story of Maddie

Last Updated: April 06, 2011

Rescuer: Keith Hussin at kchussin@yahoo.com

“We found Maddie posted in an ad on craigslist.org.
“Her back legs appear to be almost fully paralyzed, except she can move her right hip a little bit. Her previous owners told us she has a blown disk in her spine, and that’s what caused the paralysis. We have her first veterinary exam scheduled for the 5th of April, with a veterinary orthopedic surgeon.
“She has minor bladder control issues as well. We are having to treat her as though she is not potty-trained.
“She is a very sweet dog, does not bark or growl, enjoys laying in her beds (both orthopedic and standard) or just on our shag rug. Dislikes being in her wheel chair, and prefers to just drag her legs around behind her. Her paws have small sores on them from this, to which we have yet to find a solution for. Ignores our house cat, and gets along great with our Corgi, Ace.”
CorgiAid supporters will help with Maddie’s vet bills while she is in rescue. Thank you!
Maddie is in Washington state.

This dog is available for adoption. Please contact Keith Hussin at kchussin@yahoo.com for more information.
