The Story of Scooby

Last Updated: June 30, 2013

Rescuer: Tina Arth at tina.arth@animalaidpdx.org

Here is Scooby’s story, in the words of his rescuer:
“Scooby has been placed by Animal Aid twice in the last 8 years, His first adopter returned him (in terrible physical condition) because they were unable/unwilling to treat his severe allergies. After starting him on a regiment of allergy treatments and clearing up his skin infections, we placed him again in 2011. That placement worked well until the woman’s family medical problems took priority over caring for Scooby, and he came back to us (again, in bad condition). His foster family have done a wonderful job with him – he gets weekly allergy shots, medicated baths, plus blood pressure medication and he is in good shape again. However, the current cost ($160 every two months) of his customized allergy shots have been a deterrent to some potentially loving homes. Help from your organization should facilitate the finding of a true forever home for this sweet guy.
“He is an angel. Gets along with adults, kids, cats, other dogs.
“Scooby is as nice a dog as anyone could hope for. He just needs to find a home where someone is able to fully commit to caring for his allergies while giving him the constant love he needs.”
CorgiAid supporters will assist Scooby’s adopters with the ongoing cost of his meds, making it easier for him to stay in the loving permanent home he deserves. Thank you!

This dog is available for adoption. Please contact Tina Arth at tina.arth@animalaidpdx.org for more information.
