The Story of Roscoe

Last Updated: August 10, 2014

Rescuer: Jennifer Roundtree at info@forpaws.org

Here is Roscoe’s story, in the words of his rescuer:
“Roscoe came to me as part of a father/son pair after their owner passed away. The adult children inherited the dogs, but found they could not deal with unneutered male dogs. They said they could not afford to neuter them, and did not want to keep them. After attempting to place the dogs for a couple months, they were taking them to the county shelter. Unfortunately, this is a kill facility as Elko County is rural and does not have the funding to operate a no-kill shelter. I was contacted by a mutual acquaintance who is aware of my association with dog showing and possible rescue contacts. Since there are very few resources available in this region, I agreed to take the dogs rather than have them go to the shelter.”
CorgiAid supporters have helped Roscoe get up to speed on his health care, so he can go forward and lead the happy life he deserves. Thank you! He’s only one year old — he should have a long life ahead of him!
Roscoe was rescued in Nevada.

This dog is available for adoption. Please contact Jennifer Roundtree at info@forpaws.org for more information.
